Pesto is the world's most famous Ligurian condiment, a faithful traditional recipe that brings all the flavors of Liguria to the table. Ligurian tradition recalls it as a condiment for pasta, more specifically trenette or trofie, but it should be tried as an accompaniment to red meats or in savory dishes.
